The games we play (2 of 2)

Antoinette Burchill

Dimensions
45.7 x 30.5 x 3

This work continues to explore archetypes and the innate theatricality of sporting events. The two-dimensional chorus-line of characters represents actual, or satirically imagined Olympic sports. Their overtly sexualised outfits set the stage for playing games, both on the pitch and with our culturally preconceived stereotypes.
