The Messenger

The Messenger Narrated by Rose Murphy Using the 'cast' list from Aristophanes play 'The Birds' a narrative was constructed to include each name, in the order it appears on the list. A voiceover reads the narrative which tells of a chase in a time when underworld gangs ruled certain areas of Athens. As the two men are pursued through the old streets and alleyways the narrator describes their surroundings. Their actions take on a sense of urgency as the pursuit progresses and the two men use the simple means of birds who act as messengers to signal safety.
