The Poet Decomposing

The Poet Decomposing is a reduction woodcut, made in 6 panels 45 x 30cm the maximum size my printing press can accommodate. It is printed on hosho paper and back lit in a light box, illuminating the outsize micro organisms that surround the skeleton. Itis in an edition variable of 5 and both the title and the pose of the skelton, hands crossed on it's chest reference Chagall's painting The Poet Reclining
