The Primers

In work that repeatedly draws on structures, systems and attempts to create order there is, simultaneously, a draw to the chance and improvisation of collage techniques. Films ‘Analogue Browsing’ and ‘Fore’ are part of this ongoing series.

The Primers take a quick, spontaneous approach to filmic structures and ideas. The films all under 2 minutes allow for an envisaging of sketchbook ideas. Spontaneously realised from found footage or self shot images these intuitive short experiments playfully assemble images and act as a way of generating new ideas and reprocessing old ones.
