The Total Rebrand Retreat

The Total Rebrand Retreat solo exhibition and took place on Governors Island, New York, US In May 2023. The exhibition consisted of video installation, performance, sound, found objects and sculpture works made whilst on a residency with Residency Unlimited in Brooklyn between March - May 2023. On Friday 5th May a 22 minute live performance took place within the space in which visitors were invited to become “shareholders” at the corporate retreat of fictional AI tech company, Hercy B Enterprises, as the artist performs as the CEO unveiling the company’s new direction. The work deals with themes of technology as power, identity, grief, and the performance of the artist’s labour.
This exhibition and residency was supported by Arts Council England funding. Public programme supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
