The Washroom Talks

The Washroom Talks is a social construction of a series of video recorded discussions about the nature of art. The talks take place inside public or private washrooms in the London area. Every discussion is thoroughly analyzed and concludes in a statement that is the starting point of the following talk in a different location with different participants. Aim The overall aim is to determine what art is and collect different opinions resulting in the Manuscript of Art. Participants The participants do not need to have an artistic background. Everyone is welcome. There is no financial payment. Everyone is paid with a bar of soap and in return for their participation their details, web links etc can be put on the website. Every participant needs to sign a release form that allows me to use the footage and also give me the copyright for what is going on during the talk. The talkers are responsible for the course of the discussion. I won't intervene at all. The only thing I might do is calling someone on the mobile to tell them to an end. I want the talk to be as free as possible even if that means that people leave their territory of art every then and when.
