Tree Saplings

By Simon Taylor 2020

Chestnut Sapling - Simon Taylor (2020)

This series of tree images explores the fragility and vulnerability of our environment. The silhouetted forms imply a sense of fossilisation and possible extinction. The exposed roots underline the fragility and represent the search for hope. This project started while working with More Trees BANES and was included in the Forest of the Imagination 2021 festival proposal.
