TRUTH IS HURT

TRUTH IS HURT, is a new text based body of work, that will traverse graphics, painting, moving image in a search for a comfortable medium to sit within, the work seeks to embody the complexity of grief, trauma, loss, pain and emancipation. To date this has become a text-painting and piece of graphic design. The permutations may be endless - evoking a restlessness, or as Buddhists would say Dukkha*. *Dukkha is a Pali word, which appears in Sanskrit as du?kha, and it is most often translated as “pain,” “suffering,” “stress,” or “dis-ease” (and as an adjective, “painful, stressful”). The concept of dukkha is one of the fundamental teachings of Buddhism.
