Under construction

Some of my paintings are torn or cut, often unintentionally as I scrape and dig and scratch into the canvas. 'Under construction' was patched up, the tare repaired from the back by incorporating a considered piece of painted canvas glued to the back. I'm totally into self development and this painting discloses a sense of that. It carries a weight of the human condition, a piecing back together creating something new in the restorative process.
