UV Responsive Drawing
By
Gemma Wood
2018
Participants are exposed to the sound of the gong, then using UV crayons they make marks that map the experience of the sound. They can choose the level of participation, spectator enjoying the sound and the vibrational gong bath, or a full response by leaving their glowing mark on the paper. The crayons are designed for use on skin as well as other surfaces, and add an additional value to the experience. First commissioned for the Artwaves festival 2018 with a large number of flowing traffic participants.
