My dad used to drive a ford escort van and reverse it up the drive on a Friday night after working away for the week in the 1980's. I remember walking past one in a residential area in the 2000's and photographing it. It has appeared from time to time in different versions and contexts through out my practice since, from surreal incarnations to a motif in my recent English Gothic series.
