Velvet collage III

A reliquary- type piece, suggestive of old fashioned highly decorated daguerreotypes, tintypes or painted photographs of the nineteenth century. The inclusion of beading and the use of velvet fabric suggests that the images contained in the piece are precious and important. The collage has an intimate scale yet eerie presence, possibly the presence of death.
