A reliquary- type piece, suggestive of old fashioned highly decorated daguerreotypes, tintypes or painted photographs of the nineteenth century. It could be a memorial. It has an intimate scale yet an eerie presence. the central image drawn in ink is of a woman with her eyes lowered not meeting our gaze. She appears in an image with a man on the left of the piece. The image of another woman stares out at us on the right.
