Verge 3

This work forms part of the installation, Verge, which explores imagined new life emerging from the detritus of the roadside. The prostrate A frame is entwined with pillowcase sandbags that reach upwards via a dangling cargo strap. The verge is an undefined space and the hinterland of the corridors we rush along. It is between the countryside and the road. What goes on there is only fleetingly glimpsed out of the corner of an eye and soon forgotten. The work is accompanied by a soundscape of field recordings which contextualises the provenance of the materials.
