WALLWORKS, STAMFORD ARTS CENTRE

As part of my exhibition WALLWORKS at Stamford Arts Centre, I installed a piece using Dexion alloy Speedframe with glazing sections. I chose 3 colours, 12 planes of each. This structure had both glazed and open areas. The structure offered the viewer different experiences of the piece as they approached, stood in front, walked past the piece.
On the long wall opposite, I applied colour directly onto the wall with a roller, using the full length and height of the gallery wall. I saw this wall not as a painting but as a direct experience of colour working with the gallery space.
