we are here (somewhere else) begins from a GPS anomaly. When a vehicle passes through the Eurotunnel, the positioning system loses the tunnel and renders the crossing as open sea. For a few minutes the traveller is officially nowhere, or somewhere else entirely. The two channel installation stays inside this gap between where a body is and where the system says it is. It treats the anomaly not as a technical error but as a small opening in the infrastructure of location, a moment when the border briefly fails to see.
