Weight and Wait

Covid 19 art work in my garden. I was thinking how to combine the 2 concepts of wait/and/weights and came up with these self isolating groups, now part of a large series of shoe works. The shoes are arranged heel to toe, a pigeon toe walk, taking tiny steps, a smaller world, routine, monotony. Also the forms are halo like, shielding the vulnerable and again have a flying saucer aspect, alien, each set a vehicle and a world unto itself. This work was inspired by The Royal Standard’s 48 hour art challenge WEIGHT OR WAIT.
