What Lies Beneath ...

An original Arts and Crafts bobbin-turned chair by William Burges (signed), originally retailed by Liberty of London. The chair has been completely refurbished and upholstered using traditional materials and methods. The top fabric on the inner back and seat is a one-off screen - print on 100% linen, produced by Green Door Studios, Derby. It is an adaptation of an old print, an image from the Wellcome Trust, showing the blood circulation system. The back has been upholstered in red silk.
