This is one of the woodcuts from the Widdershins Walk series - a project in partnership with fellow artist Geoff Sawers for an artists' book to be published by Peculiarity Press in 2025. Wood Melick is probably the most widely accepted indicator species for ancient woodland. We were pleased to find it growing in some of the woods we passed through during our walks.
