Wrapping of the Jaipur Gate

By  Lucy Brown 2010

Christopher Kingsland

The event of Wrapping of the Jaipur Gate opened the Deviants Exhibition at Hove Museum and Art Gallery on 6th June 2009. Temporarily departing from its normal state, the gate was half wrapped horizontally with shocking pink ribbon. The act of wrapping is a ritual, whether the intention is to preserve, protect or to conceal. The wrapped ribbon created temporary walls with internal and external space.
