In the ground, In the Rot, 2025 by Abigail Brewer

“In the ground, in the rot. Can’t see what you’ve got, can’t see what you’ve lost”

In the depths of mental rot it’s easy to overlook growth, but beneath the surface, amidst the rot, seeds take root. They are waiting, ready to bloom into something beautiful. It’s a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there’s potential for renewal, for finding the light within the shadows it’s just taking the time to look up

A Pot of Gold in the Dogshit Bin, 2024 by David Appleyard

On a wet and thundery dog walk in my local park, I noticed a rainbow appearing to end in the dog waste bin. I managed to capture the chance phenomenon with a series of instant Polaroids.

The work reflects on the idea that unexpected moments of value, beauty, or meaning are often hidden within the difficult, messy, or overlooked aspects of life. The rainbow — a symbol of hope and fortune — appearing to land in a dog waste bin becomes a metaphor for the good things that are often hard-won. By documenting this improbable alignment, the piece invites reflection on perseverance, chance, and the unexpected ways in which meaning can reveal itself.

Sniff Sniff, 2026 by Alice Kin

Sniff #1 is the first release in a series of repetitions and explorations focused of the nose.
A white nose dribbles a red nose from one nostril a blue nose from the other.

Blue red colours are new to my language, a tension of choice in The Matrix, referenced in The Manosphere, and colours of patriotism and a national identity in flux.
