Concepts. The rocky shoreline of the north Antrim coast where I now live and work provides the bedrock for my current work. The geological structure and strata of the coastline is used to create works that explore ideas of place. They are an exploration of landscape, where shifting perspectives and multiple viewpoints are used to suggest displacement and impermanence..Influences Architecture/urban environment, landscape, nature,, city, coastline, geography, geology, maps, Newfoundland, Ireland.Career path I have a BA Hons degree in Fine Art from Brighton Polytechnic and a Masters degree in Fine Art from The University of Ulster. Recent residencies include Atlanta and Las Vegas and in 2002 I completed a five week artist in residence at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, Canada. 2004 Public art commissions, Horizons 2011 Property Registration Authority Roscommon. Timeline 2013 Dungannon Co.Tyrone, Trading Place 2014 Newry Co.Down.  Gateway 2016 bronze commission for Centenary Quay Southampton. Artist in Residence, Robert M MacNamara Foundation, Maine, USA.

Awarded the Gold Medal at the 134th Royal Ulster Academy, Ulster Museum, Belfast 2015
