Alexandru Regent
My practice is rooted in identity, mental health, and socio-economic challenges. I create installations, readymades, sculptures, and paintings that confront invisible systems: emotional, algorithmic, and political forces that shape self-perception and survival.
My four cornerstone pieces — The Brick (anger), The Scale (shame), The H8 Ball (intrusive thoughts), and The Clock (gender identity) — form the foundation of this work. Each one is a philosophical and emotional excavation made physical.
I am especially interested in making art that speaks to those who feel unseen. My work often uses recycled materials and deliberately minimal interventions to create clarity, tension, or contradiction, inviting the viewer to bring their own experiences into the frame. Participation is essential. My work is never complete without public engagement. It is in this shared space that healing, reflection, and transformation can begin.
