Jayne Wilson

Working with experimental approaches to moving image and installation Jayne Wilson produces poetic documentary portraits of place and filmic montages that connect recurring themes of technology, legacy and progress. 

She has established a practice tinged with humour that, teetering at the edge of art and documentary, explores where the didactic deliberately meets with the playful and unconventional. Drawing on a prevailing interest in the possibilities of collage and scientific propositions Jayne explores the heritage, legacies and systems that define our everyday.

Jayne also lectures in collaborative film practice and is founding director and lead programmer of Short Circuit experimental short doc programmes.
