Jeanette Orrell

Newtown

I am interested in making things- working in a fine art way using craft skills and materials within my work. My work draws inspiration from the everyday and ordinary objects which have a bearing on me and my life. I have worked extensively on landscape drawings; drawing and redrawing the views from my windows and am interested in ideas relating to the home and domesticity. More recently, my work has been engaging with textiles and with the process of indigo dyeing which I learnt in Japan whilst on a Creative Wales grant in 2017.
