I am preoccupied by photographicness in the work that I make.

The implication of photography- the “photographicness’ of something.

Not in a direct reproductive way but  a more abstract –

more to do with photographic fragment.

The piece of photographic image which has just enough information to

inform that it is indeed something to do with the photographic –

but leaves one wondering what the rest of it is – to what does it belong –

what does it imply or indicate or disclose.

It has a melancholy –

likened to Barthes espousal of photography only disclosing the past.
