James Reynolds

London
Painter, concerned with objects that are often domestic and relate to personal, historical narratives driven by rules and consequences.

My practice is primarily focussed on drawing and painting. Addionally, I work through a range of processes and media including digital, printmaking, installation and animation. Currently my work is concerned with specific memories, stories, words, instances, objects, things or sentiments that frame a deeply personal and historical narrative. Set within traditional and often dogmatic routine-based methods of working, it fulfils a desire to follow rules and strict practices that add to the metaphorical nature of the work.
