Menna Angharad

Brecon, Powys
still life based painting in oil on linen

My work is mainly still life. I am enjoy the implications possible within still life - hints and vague feelings rather than direct statements. I work from observation and usually choose to paint unobtrusive objects, which, the more I look at them, the more intriguing they become.

I am currently painting an evolving series of cakes, none too wholesome, an expolration of sugary guile.
