Stuart Dodman

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (painting and printmaking) in 1995. After which I started to make installation and sound work culminating in CD releases for Seattle based label and/OAR (2004) and Spanish label Con-V (2005).
After making sound and object based installations in the late 00’s, I started to make drawing and painting and the link between the two disciplines the main activity of my practice. Concerned with drawing and painting as dependant activities, drawing as a traditional foundation for painting and the permanence of the mark. I currently live and work in Brighton on the south coast of the UK.
