The Summer Lodge residency gave me two weeks of intense making. This piece is the final work. Text was reconstituted from 23 different novels and printed on a block of wood. This then formed an intervention within the location. However, the starting point was to construct a building using vacuum storage bags filled with old books. Along the way, I created thrown ceramics, probably thinking about domestic function and archaeology and numerous text pieces.
