Minimalist fabric, paper and painted collage, alluding in its title, to the spiritual journey of Siddhartha, the protagonist of the novel by Hermann Hesse, of the same name.
Whilst making these images, I was conscious of Buddhist culture and the tradition of Indian miniature painting; whilst resisting figurative, narrative or mythical references, I was nonetheless, striving to achieve a synthesis of form and colour that reflected and respected those cultures and traditions.
