Action Man

Using found images and objects Action Man is a collection that illustrates the bias towards the white man and patriarchy. It’s an observation and a recognition of my own bias and conditioning. How I learnt and consumed this idea and how this idea is grown and perpetuated through culture - film art media science religion and war.
Action Man was made on the mantelpiece in my front room, it is part of my Housework series were I create installations around the house with my own collections of objects, images and books, they also exist in public settings but are made initially at home.
