The painting bring together various glimpses seen during cycling around Taunton along the River Tone, from Taunton to Creech St Michael.
Scrawled names, images, marks were first laid into the surface of the gesso, before layers of colour, line and space were applied to the surface, building up the layers of memories, images, thoughts, scenes etc., before then rubbing back to reveal or obscure, then re-applying layers again, building a complex image made from layers of histories.
