‘Algorithmic City Plan 1’, 20 x 16 inches, ink and graphite on paper, 2012

By  Mary Yacoob 2016
A drawing inspired by the plan 'La Ville Radieuse', Le Corbusier's unrealised utopian plan to rebuild Paris as a modernist machine for living. In the drawing, a simple algorithm is used, and so order and chance is used to compose an urban plan.
