Analog Memories

By Bianca Cocco 2020 - 2022

A future intelligence searches the ruins of visual culture. Constructed from found and archival imagery, Analog Memories imagines an artificial consciousness attempting to reconstruct humanity from fragments of photographs, moving images and forgotten media. Memories become datasets, images become artefacts, and meaning emerges through pattern recognition, projection and error. Part archive and part speculative essay film, the work reflects on how identities persist through traces long after their original context has disappeared.
