Ancient Land with Ghost Rubble Road

The archaeological site that I've been documenting and responding to through my practice is a complex one with much evidence of a Roman farmstead and bronze and iron age life beneath that. Through painting I try to visualise aspects of life that may once have taken place there. Some of the colour used is earth found in the area.
