Sun-Barded Horse

The first of a new series of paintings and other works made in response to events and encounters experienced whilst walking in South Somerset. This was one of many horse I have seen in the fields, covered up against the elements and ailments in the hot fields, but resembling something of a present day mythical beast or ancient horse in armour. Materials include oil paint and local earth. This will be included in the exhibition GROUNDED at Cotley Tithe Barn later in September as part of SAW 2019 (see events page for details)
