Attrition

It reflects the slow erosion that comes from persistent effort. The quiet, repetitive act of showing up even as the body frays.

A figure appears to both emerge from and sink back into the fabric, suspended in a state between breakthrough and collapse. Made with materials that stain, burn, and mark, the surface carries the residue of exhaustion as much as creation. Embroidery stitches bind and scar the fabric, echoing the fragile repair work needed to keep going.

The piece captures the tension between burnout and perseverance, revealing a body shaped by endurance yet still refusing to disappear.
