Basket Stack.

The temporary installation was created at South Beach in Whitehaven,West Cumbria in May,2023.The beach is located not far from a supermarket and frequently has shopping trolleys and baskets dumped on the foreshore. I often take advantage of these discarded items and use them to create interventions that comment on aspects of consumerism.In this case,the checkout item in the shopping basket I found has a giant pebble stack growing outwards and upwards.The installation lasted a few days and was left untouched till a high tide overwhelmed the structure.
