Bell-tower

By  Dominique Rey 2006

Nicholas Sinclair

Dimensions
100cm x 300cm x 110cm

The tower of building materials interspersed with ivy and blossom was developed and constructed within the gallery space; an old Methodist chapel. A bell tolled on the quarter from inside the tower. The work is a companion to 'Cherry Blossom' Falling Down', part of a site-specific installation responding to different versions of the history of the site. It examines notions of multiple histories and entwined fact and fiction.
