"Birks Mine"

"Birks Mine"is a mixed media installation comprised of text painted onto cartridge paper .I used iron ore rich mud to emboss the text which describes the history of their on ore mine.The paper was then draped over a fence which surrounds the remains of the mine and left to dry out.
