Victoria Rance

Powder Coated and Galvanised steel sculpture commissioned by The Warneford Hospital Oxford with Arts Council funding. The sculpture was made after a series of workshops with users and staff at The Warneford, a Victoria purpose built psychiatric hospital with a large garden which had originally been a sculpture garden for the patients. The form of the sculpture, which can be walked through, was a response to Japanese viewing platforms as it is sited in a place to view the mature trees of the garden; and the Eye of Horus a symbol of healing.
