Cassandra Five

By  Susan Banks 2024

Susan Banks

Cassandra Five takes liberties with the form of the Lion Gate at Mycenae, its threshold and monolithic stone lintel. The intention was to pastiche the drawings/paintings of the Bronze age as seen in frescoes, to replace the missing lion heads and to represent the unfortunately gifted Cassandra with a central motif.

Oil on canvas.
