Civil Disobedience

I wonder how long it will take people to notice this painting on the wall? The funny thing with a painting of a CCTV camera is the fact that it looks at us. Normally we look at paintings but this is a bit creepy. I thought It might be a curious exhibition to have a gallery space with nothing on the walls except a label saying CCTV cameras in operation and hang a painting of a CCTV camera in each corner. It would be interesting to see how many people just glance up and then walk on looking for the real paintings and how many would look up long enough to realise that the cameras are the paintings. I ought to do it ... one day.
