Coat hangers are bent so that they stand up by themselves. These are arranged on the floor. From some views the curl at the top of the hanger reads as a head, a flock of birds or a group of people half caught in some fleeting movement. Light falling on the work highlights only one part of hanger giving that line a particular emphasis: arms, legs, noses depending on your position.
From the rear the work looks like a net, a network with each cell also reading as a mouth, many mouths flowing forward, flying by, becoming more bird-like as they pass. And again from side views the coat hangers appear mangled whilst from others they appear poised, almost well groomed.
There is a sense of a gathering, a conference, a dance, a fleeting event. The breakup of the shapes is like time lapsed movement or a trace of something passed, past. The whole of the work is barely there, almost visibly invisible, a virtual event.
