‘Crashing the Ecology’ is a mini installation of a stitched mask made from bark cloth, cork , Devon soil and moss in a hanging basket. The mask is based on that of a kamikaze pilot I saw at the Imperial War Museum S London.
The collision course we are on given our knowledge of the climate crisis makes me think how we might live more symbiotically with the natural world and takes shape as mythical figures in clay, found objects & textile…
