DNA: None Of Us Are Just One Thing

The starting point for the self-portrait was instigated by a gift from my family of a DNA test. Although I had an awareness of one section of family up until this point I could only guess at the other aspects of the family DNA. The returning results were a revelation giving me much to reflect on and in an attempt to illustrate my musing I began my self -portrait, which was less about me and more about the people who came before me.
