'Not a Shred of Truth'

By  Linda Izan 2019
As the work is focussed on 'TRUTH' the ideal setting for its display is a courtroom. These images were photographed at St Georges Hall Liverpool with thanks for the support of Liverpool City Council. Not a Shred of Truth; a Blanket Denial. In my work, I have constructed a play on textile metaphors. Working with lush fabric, appliqué and printed textiles, I have highlighted how truth can be challenging in a post-truth era. If society no longer places a trust in truth, what remains?
