Dream in Colour: Upholstering Chairs for Vitor Azevedo

I was really pleased to be approached by artist Vitor Azevedo to cover a pair of chairs that he had lovingly stripped back and repaired, spending many hours on their restoration. Vitor had had fabric printed from one of his abstract paintings and asked me to cover the chairs using traditional upholstery methods, he wanted them to be 'something special' - so no pressure there!! The chairs are currently on display and for sale, alongside other abstract and figurative paintings by Vitor and Bernie Rutter at Gallery MI, Wirksworth, a really beautiful space, in the exhibition 'Dream in Colour' which runs until 31 May 2023.
