Empirical Cracks in the Pavement, 1645-1883

I walked with my children along the same routes to and from school for eight years. Manhole covers, cracks in the pavement, petals, leaves and other materials I came across on these and other walks inspired me to create a body of work called the Pavement Works Collection. Started in 1998, to date the collection consists of over twenty works in eight categories. Empirical Cracks in the Pavement, 1645-1883 is part of the Cracks and Gaps category.
